Over My Head (Cable Car) - The Fray

One of my favourite songs by this band. Great lyrics.

Want to be photographed?

I’ve been feeling recently that I really want to do some more portrait work, and am doing a call out for anyone that’s interested in getting some portraits done. Time 4 Print at this point, no cost to you, you get some images when I’m done.

Looking for anyone that has some ideas of what they’d like to see as well. So if you have some tearsheets from magazine or such of ideas and poses you’d like, I’m all for trying them. I’m open to just about any concept, so this is a great opportunity for you if you’ve been wanting to do this but didn’t know someone or have the cash. Again this is FREE, although I control timeframes and deliverables.

If you’re interested, respond here, or give me a shout at contact@ftwphoto.com

Day Something-or-other - Episode 2

Yeah, so I’m bad at being consistant with posting for Project 365, I had a feeling this would happen. However what I’m not so bad at, is making a weekly videocast about all things tech and geek. So instead, you should check this out!

Anonymous asked: who do you love most in the world?

I don’t think I could choose any one person, the people I love in my life act as collective whole to help me accomplish my goals and go far in life. Their are certain people I turn to for some things, and certain people for others, and because I couldn’t rely on an individual from that group to accomplish all those needs, I love all the people important in my life who have made my who I am today. Each and every one of them changing something unique about myself.

As far as Craiglist postings go, this is up there on the funny scale

Day 30 - Some More Video for you!

Here is our first full episode of the Almost Friday Show, hope you enjoy!

Day 26 - We’re all a little mad…
New photoshoot for the band Killitorous, this is the second group series I’ve done for them. They had some member changes. Felt the shoot went well, and think the results are going to be to their liking.

Couldn’t help but genuinely laugh when I saw this on a friends facebook profile. For more great Stormtrooper shots (the creator is doing a 365 with these toys) check out this flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/st3f4n/sets/72157616350171741/

Day 23 - The Almost Friday Show: The Intro

So this is something I do on the side with some friends, we’ve had an audio podcast for the past 2 years, and have just finished putting together a studio to do a new video podcast. This is the intro episode. For more information and to continue to follow The Almost Friday Show, check out http://www.almostfridayshow.com

Day 21- A day in the life…
Sometimes you don’t see the shot until you look at it from a different angle. And then when you do, magic happens.

Day 19- The many faces of Mark
This photo was taken using the quadcam app for the iPhone (yes I know it’s 8, apparently they can’t count). Once again this is an app that I recommend. It has options for 4 or 8 photos, either in a line or in a box like this one, with adjustable timing and built in photo effects as well. This captures that more lomographic photography well, once again proving the iPhone to be a useful and interesting photographic tool.

Day 18- Lo-fi

In the continueing spirits of iPhone photography, a shot from my bathroom window edited in Lo-mob photography application. It’s amazing what some of these apps can do to simple ordinary photos. Thumbs up again!

Day 17 - The best camera

The saying goes that the best camera is the one you have with you. With that in mind I’ve been playing with a couple of good iPhone camera apps to make the most of the relatively terrible camera built in, since it’s the camera I always have with me. This perticular image was taken with the tilt shift app that allows for selective blurring and editing. I quite like it and recommend it.

 Day 16 - Enlightened
So this is a shot of the new keyboard that I got, not the one pictured in the recent shot of my room that I posted. It’s a logitech illuminated keyboard, yep that’s what its called, creative I know. None the less it is an amazing keyboard with very pretty led backlighting and good key response. Plus the volume and play/pause keys work on my Mac! I highly recommend this keyboard for someone who needs backlighting and is more interested in typing then gaming.

The effects of Gizmodo.

  • Gordonium: I once had aspirations and daydreams of becoming an accomplished writer, poet, and Man of Words. Then I discovered Gizmodo, and now I live in the ruins of those great, ambitious goals of mine.
  • Brownski: I like to think we've just adapted to a shorter format.
  • Gordonium: Your optimism is inspiring.
  • Brownski: I imagine a future where we collect the great comments of the internet into yearly compendiums. I See What You Did There 2009, etc.
  • NorwoodIsMyHero: I think that might be the single best idea in blog commenting history
